Dr. Hartey has been practicing Chiropractic in the town of Matamoras, PA since 1985. He is certified by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and is also a member of The American Chiropractic Association Sports Council.
His interest in treating athletes goes back to his active participation in sports in high school and college. He attended Rutgers University and was picked as an All-American Soccer Player in 1981.
After leading his team to the Nationals that year, he was selected MVP by his coach and teammates.
Since becoming a Chiropractor and starting Hartey Chiropractic, he became interested in sports therapy and proper biomechanics. Today, athletes are particularly interested in their specific sports injuries. They need to know the proper treatment.
If athletes want to stay competitive, they must stay healthy. Over our years in the practice, we've helped many athletes to continue to be active and have educated them about proper injury treatment.
Whether you are a football player, soccer player, basketball player or ballerina, whether you are an avid athlete or a weekend warrior, you may need to consult someone about an injury.
We are encouraged by the sports council to utilize these advanced skills, thereby enhancing Chiropractic care for athletes. We have office hours Monday through Saturday, with evening hours available.
You don't need to be an athlete to be in need of Chiropractic though. The everyday physical stress from your job or recreational activities can, and sometimes does, require an adjustment to your spine. Call
today for an appointment.
